A nominal fee is charged for radiology procedures performed at Redfern Health Center.

Ordering Radiology Procedures

Can my family physician order radiology procedures done at Redfern?

We encourage you to ask your health care provider to fax orders to 864-656-3144 for radiology procedures that you might need. Before coming to the radiology department, you might want to call 864-656-3572 to verify that we have received the orders. You can also present the orders at the time of service.

Orders should include

  • order date;

  • health care provider’s name and signature;

  • health care provider’s phone and fax numbers;

  • diagnosis code (DX);

  • all tests to be performed clearly listed.

Most test results can be returned within 48 hours. Please plan follow-up appointments accordingly. All radiology results are returned to the ordering provider.

Outside Referrals

Some procedures such as MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, mammograms and nuclear medicine studies (ex: bone scans, gallbladder studies, etc.) can be scheduled for you in a local facility. For us to assist you with scheduling these procedures, you will need an order from your health care provider and a copy of your insurance card. Charges for these procedures will be billed by the facility where you are referred.
