Home & Garden Information Center (HGIC) HGIC logoprovides research-based information on gardening, pest, and food safety and nutrition issues. The HGIC is staffed by horticulture Extension Agents and food safety specialists who are available by phone, 1-888-656-9988 (SC residents only), from 9 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday.

Master Gardener Volunteer Program trains volunteers in delivering researched-based consumer horticulture information to citizens of South Carolina.

They provide expertise in topics ranging from fruits and vegetables, landscape, turf, ornamental plants and issues related to home gardening or commercial production.  Many of your home and garden questions can be easily addressed at Clemson's Home and Garden Information Center.
