Anne Marie Rogers helps with training, maintenance, and integration of academic software and hardware solutions such as Clemson’s new learning management system, Canvas. She also assists in coordinating, evaluating, and supporting the adoption of academic technology among faculty and students.
Anne Marie began her career as a high school teacher in the state of Georgia and taught English for over 10 years. In addition, she was an Instructional Technology Coach for over 3 years and assisted with the alternative education program. She enjoyed working with students, but also found enjoyment in assisting her colleagues with instructional classroom technologies. She became a leader in instructional technology not only in her school but in her district, helping with several technology initiatives and integrations such as a 1:1 school where every student is issued a technology device to use for educational purposes. She joined the Clemson Online team in order to continue using and enhancing her instructional technology knowledge and skills.
Anne Marie is married with one fun and quirky daughter. Her small family loves to travel, especially to Disney World. She loves to hunt and fish, but her favorite pastime is reading. Even when she’s hunting and fishing, she has her Kindle with her. She confesses that she loves a good romance novel, but don't worry, she also reads other genres as well including novels by her favorite author, Pat Conroy. However, her favorite thing to do on a Saturday is watching her Tigers play. On game days, you can find her either at the Clemson football game or watch it on a big screen TV. She grew up and currently lives in a small southern town where she learned many life lessons, including what her parents consider the three most important: you catch more flies with honey, keep both eyes open when you shoot and be proud of where you come from.
