Faculty must ensure that any content posted online meets Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) standards. While honoring student privacy and adhering to copyright law, faculty may utilize a variety of existing or novel digital tools to enhance their courses.

As new programs and courses are developed cooperatively with Clemson Online staff, new tools and methods will be explored to meet specific disciplinary contexts. An example of this deliberative process of adoption is the student and faculty led decision to move from Blackboard to Canvas during the 2016-17 academic year.
