Overview

The Department of Materials Science & Engineering offers undergraduate degrees and graduate degree programs. These programs are enhanced by the Department's long history of industrial partnerships and the rich technological environment of the surrounding regions.

Students major explore the building blocks of all materials and develop the understanding of the processing, structure, and properties of polymers, glasses, ceramics, metals and composites in all forms — particles, thin films, fibers and bulk materials. Within this major, you can choose to focus your studies on inorganic materials or polymeric materials.
