Hydrogeologic Settings Hydrogeologic processes depend strongly on the local geologic conditions, and understanding this dependence is an important part of the course. The best way to appreciate the importance of geology is to visit various different hydrogeologic settings. In this part of the course, we travel to different locations and learn about a variety of processes and projects that have been conducted in different settings. In many cases, we have experts in the local hydrogeology join us and explain their work to the class. Fractured Crystalline Rocks
