Clemson University has established a world-class team of scientists to take agriculture to new levels by developing innovative crop breeding and management systems. The Advanced Plant Technology (APT) Program will accelerate the improvement and value of agronomic, horticultural, and specialty crops as renewable and sustainable sources of food, feed, fiber, fuel, and chemicals.

This year’s goals for the Advaned Plant Technology Program are to:

  • advance crop agriculture in South Carolina by integrating advanced genetic approaches to support activities optimizing G x E x M (genetics by environment by management systems)

  • build upon Clemson's research and educational infrastructure by finding additional sources of financial support (public, private, foundation, etc.) to advance our research and training activities.
