Sandhill REC Programs and Units

Clemson Institute for Economic and Community Development (CIECD)
CIECD connects the resources of Clemson University, and other agencies, to the needs of South Carolina communities. CIECD faculty and staff conduct research and deliver programming in the areas of leadership development, strategic planning, town charrettes and downtown redesign, entrepreneurial training and support, local economic development planning and support, local community development planning and support, industry cluster development, and economic impact analysis.

Innovation Center
The Innovation Center was created in 2007 to focus on the needs of rural South Carolina. Center personnel team with community leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, faith based groups, volunteer organizations and other professionals to assist in the development of plans, strategies and funding resources.

Leadership South Carolina
Leadership South Carolina is one of the oldest and most respected of the statewide leadership programs. Leadership South Carolina provides gifted and highly motivated South Carolinians an opportunity to advance their leadership qualities while broadening their understanding of issues facing the state.

Sandhill Farmer's Market
The Sandhill Farmer's Market is open each Tuesday afternoon, from 2:00-7:00 pm, starting on May 3, 2011 and continuing through November 22nd.

Sandhill Fish Club
A new trial initiative offering recreational fishing as part of a fee based controlled program.
