Innovation Center

The  Innovation Center was created in 2007 to focus on the needs of rural South Carolina.  The center derives its funding from Clemson University and the USDA Rural Development agency. Located at the Sandhills REC in Columbia, SC, the center is a part of the Clemson Institute for Economic and Community Development.

The center is enriched by the efforts of Clemson’s Community Development and Extension agents.  Personnel team with community leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, faith based groups, volunteer organizations and other professionals to assist in the development of plans, strategies and funding resources.

In addition to assisting businesses and communities at their locations around SC, the Innovation Center also provides expertise along with the latest in computer and software applications at their offices in Columbia.  Clients are encouraged to take advantage of this offering when preparing presentations, proposals and other applications.
