Delta Alpha Pi

Delta Alpha Pi is an honor society founded in 2004 that recognizes top-ranking students with disabilities. The three Greek letters stand for disability, achievement and pride. By showcasing their academic strength, Delta Alpha Pi members strive to change the negative perception that students with disabilities cannot be academic thought leaders. Delta Alpha Pi members counteract such prejudice through public recognition, leadership, and visible participation in educational activities.

We are:

  • An academic honors community of students supporting other students in friendship, personal development, career enhancement and networking.

  • A chance to reach out to students with disabilities in middle and high school, and to those in their first semester of college.

  • A group that gathers to watch films, share fine food, attend sporting events, experience various cultural and entertainment offerings and even get away for a weekend or two.

  • Committed to lead as we advocate for students with disabilities, address our issues in the public domain and challenge common perceptions by demonstrating how capable and skilled we are.

At present, there is no Delta Alpha Pi chapter at Clemson University. If an individual is interested in starting a chapter, they may contact cusas@clemson.edu.
