Catherine Trentacoste Catherine Trentacoste received the University's Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for 2011

Gretchen Matthews Dr. Gretchen Matthews was recently elevated to the grade of Senior Member of IEEE this year.  Senior Member is the highest professional grade of the IEEE, and only approximately 8% of the 400,000 members of IEEE achieve this level

Brian Bowers Congratulations to Brian Bowers a 2011 recipient of the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship.

Tory Cuff Victoria (Tory) Cuff, who will graduate in 2012, has won a Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for the 2011-2012 and 2012-2012 academic years and the intervening summer.  Only about 300 students win these scholarships nationwide.  Tory's placement will be at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts

In addition to the public lecture being given by Ken Ono on Friday evening, February 18, we have two other very distinguished plenary speakers for the weekend:  Ken Ribet of UC Berkeley and Adebisi Agboola of UC Santa Barbara. 
There will also be numerous 20 minute contributed talks at all levels.
