Research and Special Studies
|
CIECD applied researchers conduct economic impact analysis of important local and regional events, such as a new farmers market or a factory closing. We also calculate the economic importance of key sectors in the economy, such as agriculture and tourism. Fiscal impact studies provide critical information concerning the magnitude of growth on local government revenue and costs. The resulting information from both types of studies is critical for local and state policy makers and business leaders in understanding how changes affect economies and in making informed decisions concerning tax incentives, workforce development investments, and other policy decisions. |
