Sip and Stroll

Sip and Stroll Logo Natural Heritage Garden Trail
We invite you to sip, stroll, and experience the wonder of the Natural Heritage Garden Trail. Spend the afternoon and early evening of October 18, 2014 experiencing all of South Carolina’s native plant communities and ecosystems. Guides will interpret flood improvements, flora, fauna, and the natural communities, while you enjoy a cool beverage or finger foods at each stop along the trail.

Your stroll will take you into the cool ravines of the Rich Cove Forest and will continue into the Piedmont Oak/Hickory Forest and toward the Carolina Bay. You will then travel through the Piedmont Prairie and into the newly developed Carnivorous Plant Display and directly into the Longleaf Pine Savanna. The last section of the leisurely tour is the Native American Shell Ring and Maritime Forest.

Along the trail, your taste buds will be delighted by Hors d'oeuvres prepared by a chef that has graciously been donated by the Cliffs Community. At the end of the trail, enjoy some sweet treats and meet Patrick McMillan, Emmy award-winning naturalist, as well as expert Garden Staff. Browse unique plants and other items that will be available for sale and share this one-of-a-kind experience with others. Also, check the status of the silent auction bidding, as the Garden will be auctioning a Farm to Table Dinner for eight, also donated by the Cliffs Community.

Event is rain or shine, no refunds. Weather is often unpredictable, therefore dress appropriately and wear comfortable walking shoes.
