When: Thursday, April 6-7, 2016
Posters will be displayed 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and  1pm - 3 p.m.
Plenary Session and Awards April 7th at 3p.m. - 4p.m.

Poster requirements:

  • Poster dimensions must be 48" x 36". Format may be horizontal or vertical.
  • Easels, posterboards and clips will be provided.

This year we are offering the chance to create your own interactive digital poster. Interactive digital presentation requirements:
  • In order to use the digital displays for your poster, you must have interactive content, videos, or motion graphics.
  • Creative Inquiry will provide web space and templates for your poster display. You may also supply your own digital content.
  • We will NOT display static images or PDFs on digital displays.

Presenter responsibilities:

  • Print your poster (48" x 36", horizontal or vertical format).
  • Bring your poster to the Watt Center before 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 6 or 7, 2016 and clip it to the assigned posterboard.
  • Stand with your poster during the 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 - 3 p.m. sessions. If a team of students contributed to the project, you may alternate students during this time. Please do not have the entire team at the poster at any one time — there is not sufficient room in the ballroom to accommodate them. If you cannot participate in both poster sessions, please let us know.
  • Should you be chosen, one member of your team must be available at the Plenary Session to receive your award.

For assistance with formatting posters:

  • Visit the Class of 1941 Studio for Student Communication on the first floor of Daniel Hall.
  • View the Poster Design Notes and Guidelines for Creating a Poster for a Professional Meeting on the SC LIFE Undergraduate Research site.

Bring your poster to the Watt Center before 9:30 a.m. on April 6 or 7, 2016 and clip it to the assigned posterboard. Contact Tullen Burns if you have questions.

Before and after the FoCI Poster Forum, you are encouraged to display your poster in your department or college for the reminder of the week. Talk to your department chair or associate dean about creating a local research/Creative Inquiry event. Please contact Cora Allard if you are planning a Creative Inquiry or research event in April so that it can be advertised on the CI website.
