Clemson University is one of hundreds of institutions nationwide requiring every freshman student at Clemson, first year Bridge students and transfer student to complete AlcoholEdu – a non-judgmental, evidence-based course taken by hundreds of thousands of students each year.  Whether or not you consume alcohol, AlcoholEdu empowers students by providing some simple strategies to help you and your friends make well-informed decisions.  AlcoholEdu is just one part of our overall alcohol abuse prevention plan at Clemson.

 What is it?

AlcoholEdu is a required online course for all incoming students that offers a confidential, personalized experience for each student.  Here at Clemson, we want to provide our entire incoming class with a common baseline of knowledge and awareness of alcohol issues, and to strengthen a shared set of campus norms and expectations around alcohol use.

The course includes:

-          Alcohol-related content featuring videos, blogs, IM chats, comics, and more

-          Helpful tools, like a Blood Alcohol Concentrations (BAC) calculator and map of US laws

-          Strategies students can use to lower their risk while socializing and how to help a friend

The course consists of two parts, both of which must be completed to satisfy this requirement.

Please Note:  All information you provide is confidential. Campus and AlcoholEdu staff will only be able to see whether or not individual students have completed the program or not - we will never see any individual student responses.
