Education, Prevention and Intervention

Online Programs

Clemson University is committed to providing students with a comprehensive approach to alcohol education, prevention and intervention through collaborative efforts across many departments on campus. Below you will find various campus and community initiatives, resources and services available.

  • AlcoholEdu for College:
    • All incoming first-year students are required to complete a confidential, online alcohol education course, entitled AlcoholEdu for College. The course uses evidence-based research to educate students about alcohol and its effects. Whether students drink or not, the course will help them make informed decisions about alcohol and better respond to drinking behavior that may occur around them.
  • Alcohol e-Check Up to Go
    • This program allows students to conduct their own confidential alcohol assessment in about 20 minutes and get clear, objective, personalized feedback about attitudes, behaviors and risk levels surrounding the use of alcohol. This program can be utilized by students at any time.

Presentations

We have trained staff and student leaders from various departments and organizations who can provide presentations about alcohol and related topics to campus groups, classes, clubs and organizations.

If you would like to request a presentation, please e-mail the following staff members or drop by 110 Hendrix Student Center and we will be happy to talk with you regarding your presentation needs.

Please allow two weeks before your requested presentation date. Requests made within two weeks of your program may still be granted depending upon availability of staff and resources. If unable to process your request, we will offer an alternative date/time to complete the request.
