New Student Orientation consists of both first-year student and transfer student Orientations, depending on the status of each student. During this time, students can learn more about adjusting to life as a Clemson student as well as sign up for a club specifically for veterans, the Clemson University Student Veterans Association.

There will a breakout session for veterans on Day One of freshman Orientation and during transfer Orientation that provides benefit information. Orientation dates are as follows:

Freshman: 9 a.m.

June 16-17, 19-20, 23-24, 26-27, June 30-July 1, 7-8, 10-11, 14-15, 17-18

Transfer: 8:45 a.m.

June 18, 25, July 9, 16

Things to know:

  • NOTE for freshman students accepted to Calhoun Honors College: You are encouraged, but not required to attend one of the following sessions: June 16-17, June 19-20, June 26-27, June 30-July 1, or July 7-8.
  • NOTE for transfer students: June 18 is reserved only for Bridge transfer students.
  • Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by academic major.
  • During online registration, all open sessions will appear in the drop-down box as choices.
  • Your session date is not confirmed until you have completed online registration and received the confirmation email.

Veteran and Veteran Benefits Meeting

This is a special meeting for any veterans of the U.S. military or dependents of veterans whom will utilize the Post 9/11 (Chapter 33) benefit and other VA benefits. During this meeting, you will learn about special resources for student veterans as well as the steps required to verify your status for VA benefits and financial aid.
