  • Textbook FAQs
    • When should I order my course materials?
      • You should place your order as soon as you have registered for classes.
    • How do I order my required and recommended course materials and supplies?
      • Go to the Course Material Finder, add each of your classes to the course selection tool, then click “Retrieve Materials.” Review your items and add them to your cart as you make selections.
    • Should I rent or purchase?
      • Renting is recommended whenever possible. Renting a used copy is the best way to save on print course materials, and if you decide you’d like to keep your rental, you will usually have the option to “buy out” your rental before the last day of finals.
    • Can I write and highlight in rental textbooks?
      • Yes!
    • I’m unsure if I will be staying in a class, but I already ordered my materials. What should I do?
      • Make sure you do not open any shrink-wrapped bundles, alter the condition of new textbooks, scratch off or otherwise open any print access codes, or redeem any digital materials for classes you might drop. You have until the second Tuesday after classes begin to return your items for a full refund.
  • Rental Return Deadlines
Textbook rentals must be returned by the last day of finals for the semester. Contact us for more details.
  • Price Matching
    • We price match with Amazon.com and BN.com.
    • The textbook must be In-Stock and available for immediate shipment or pickup.
    • The price matched must be for the exact book/title, including all accompanying components (CDs, workbooks, etc.)
    • Price matching includes purchase and Rental pricing. Rental term period must be comparable to qualify for price matching.
Price matching applies to same condition items; used to used, new to new, used rental to used rental.
    • Price matching is honored for one copy of each title per student.
    • We do not price match for general merchandise, digital items, or special orders.
  • Refunds
    • All physical course materials may be returned for a refund with your order number or receipt within the first two weeks of classes (by the second Tuesday after the first day of classes).

    • Do not open any shrink-wrapped bundles, alter the condition of new textbooks, scratch off or otherwise open any print access codes, or redeem any digital materials until you are sure you plan to remain in the class.

    • All on-campus students are encouraged to come by the bookstore in person to return materials for a refund.

    • Any returns by mail must be postmarked by the Saturday of the first full week of classes.

  • Faculty Course Materials and Adoption
    • AIP (the Adoption & Insights Portal) is your source for researching, adopting and sharing insights about textbooks and course materials.
    • AIP is integrated with Single Sign On (SSO) technology. You can conveniently access AIP online and log in with your Clemson credentials.
    • All print and digital course materials and supplies, calculators, kits, and uniforms that have a monetary cost to students are required to be submitted to the bookstore by the adoption deadline listed at the top of the page upon sign-in.
    • With AIP, you can:
      • Save time with the one click re-adopt feature
      • Research and adopt course materials in one convenient place
      • Compare estimated student price and available formats before adopting
      • Review affordable alternatives to your selection, like OER and BNC OER+ Courseware
      • Learn about affordable options for your students like Price Match and First Day
      • Receive 24/7 support
    • Learn how to navigate AIP and submit an adoption by watching the AIP Demo Video.
    • Please reach out to the Clemson Bookstore Management Team with any questions or comments at bksclemson.bncollege.com.

    Why Adoption Compliance Matters

    • Per the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, students have the right to view the cost of their course materials at the time of registration. Submitting your adoption to the bookstore on time keeps the university in compliance with federal law.
    • Submitting your adoptions accurately and on time ensures that students will get the right course materials for your class at the most affordable price.
    • Students with certain scholarships are only able to get their materials through the bookstore.

Graduation Supplies

Get everything you need to celebrate your achievement and look the part on graduation day. Explore the sections below for details, then shop for regalia, diploma frames and graduation gifts, all from your campus bookstore!

  • Regalia
    • The bookstore is proud to dress our bachelor and master graduates in the Green Weaver gown. Classic style and comfort meet sustainability in Clemson’s first-ever graduation gown made entirely from recycled materials.
    • Each Green Weaver gown is made in the US from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. With each gown using an average of 23-27 bottles, Clemson graduation regalia saves approximately 185,000 plastic bottles from landfills annually,
    • $3 of every recycled gown purchase will be donated to the Clemson University sustainability effort. Learn more about Clemson's sustainability program.
    • Undergraduates and Masters Students
      • You can purchase undergraduate regalia online, or in person at the Bookstore.
      • In-person regalia purchasing opens each semester at Grad Fair, which is held in March and October.
      • Online ordering is unavailable for about a month at the start of each semester.
      • Regalia purchased online will not ship until a few weeks before graduation regardless of when you order. If you need regalia for photos, purchasing in person is recommended.
    • Doctoral Students
  • Class Rings

Class rings and announcements can be purchased through Balfour. Please contact the Alumni Association with any questions about rings or the Ring Ceremony.

  • Honor Stoles

Honor stoles are ordered through Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK). Contact them at clemsonhonorstoles@gmail.com.
