Tiger Fish Swim School


Are you a fish out of water who's looking for the right swimming school? Try Clemson University! Clemson's Tiger Fish Swim School is offered at Fike Recreation Center in the McHugh Natatorium. American Red Cross-certified instruction will be available at six levels.

  • Introduction to Water Skills
  • Fundamental Aquatic Skills
  • Stroke Development
  • Stroke Improvement
  • Stroke Refinement
  • Fitness Swimmer

Classes are 30 minutes per session. Time of class to be determined by skill level and age. Swimming lessons offered to children over three years old, teens and adults.
American Red Cross-certified instructors will offer six levels of swim lessons. The deadline for registration is two Fridays before the first lesson of each session. Classes fill quickly so register early.

The classes are held during the months of September, October, November, February, March and April. The actual dates are listed below:

Fall 2014

  • Thursday, November 6
  • Thursday, November 13
  • Thursday, November 20
  • Sunday, November 23

All sessons offerred are now private lessons. The lessons are offered in four, thirty minute sessions. The prices will vary depending on your affiliation with Clemson University as well as the type of class you register for. For Fike members, the cost is $55. For non-members, the cost is $70. 

Anyone is welcome to take lessons as long as they are three or older.
