The Club Sports Association (CSA) is an association of sport clubs that has as its purpose:
The Club Sports Association meets several times each semester, and clubs are represented by the president or, in his or her absence, an officer appointed by the president. For additional information refer to the CSA Constitution.
The Club Sports Council (CSC) is an organization that serves as an administrative body within the Club Sports Association (CSA) that has as its purpose to act on behalf of the CSA in addressing issues that affect the operation of the CSA or the individual clubs that are part of the CSA; and it is vested with authority to make decisions and/or recommendations as noted in the CSC Constitution. Any club sports participant can fill out an application to serve on the CSC.
The CSC conducts hearings as necessary regarding alleged infractions/violations of the Code of Conduct for Club Sports by either individuals or clubs within the Club Sports program and recommends any disciplinary actions to be taken, including the imposition of sanctions as prescribed in the Club Sports Manual.
The CSC contributes in the decision for any student organization who wishes to be considered a club sport. The student organization will present to the CSC, Club Sports Graduate Assistant and Club Sports Director. As a group we discuss all concerns and make a decision.
The CSC meets once a month and keeps in constant communication with all 35 club sports about their fundraisers, community involvement and outreach, accomplishments, special events and awards. Each sports council member attends every monthly CSA meeting and reports on their assigned area.
