Bootcamp is offered each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at 6:00am! The cost is $50 per month. The course is taught by three certified instructors/trainers. Exercises vary from day to day to keep it fresh! Educational information concerning exercise and nutrition is also provided. Register and pay at the Service Center TODAY!
Personal Training is provided upon availability of trainers to members looking to lose fat weight, increase strength, improve their health, and increase their self-confidence. If you find it difficult to stick to an exercise program or you feel you're just going through the motions and have reached a plateau in your progress, you may want to consider a personal trainer. Sports Massage Therapy is offered upon availability of massage therapists. Call 656-6673 or 656-7617 for more information. Payment and registration is available at the Program desk at Fike during regular business hours 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. All massage therapists are certified and licensed. 30 minute, 1 hour, and 1 hour and a half sessions are available. Prices for individual sessions vary from $30-$80 depending on membership category. Packages are also available. Payment and registration for appointments must be made or cancelled prior to 1 business day before the appointment. Please allow 3 business days to schedule an appointment. Benefits of massage include pain relief, circulation improvement, improvement in flexibility, a faster recovery from strenuous exercise, relaxation, reduced stress, improved muscle tone and range of motion, and increased blood supply and nutrition to muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
Fitness Equipment Orientations are available for all members to gain a better sense of all of the opportunities Fike has to offer. A trained fitness professional will provide a tour of the fitness atrium with an explanation of how to correctly use all equipment as well as what the purpose of each piece of equipment is. He or she can also help orient you with our indoor track and natatorium. This is a free service. Call 656-6673 or 656-7617 to schedule an orientation today!
Gymsitters will be offered again for select home football games for the 2012 season. Gymsitters is a child care service for children ages three to ten. It's an opportunity for everyone to have a ball at Tiger games! While mom and dad cheer the Tigers on, the kids can make new friends, play games and develop their skills in arts and crafts or other recreational areas.
The program will be offered September 8th, September 15th, and November 10th (pending the announced kickoff time is before 3:00pm). The cost is $50 per child for each gymsitter date. Children must be preregistered to participate no later than the Monday prior to game day. If space is available, children may register after the Monday deadline for a fee of $60.
Children who participate will receive snacks, a craft, and a T-shirt. We will provide parents with information about the day's activities at pick-up. The program is held at Fike Recreation Center. Gymsitter staff members all hold current safety certifications.
Parents may drop off their children 30 minutes before game time and must pick up participants within 30 minutes after the football game ends. A late fee will be charged after 30 minutes.

Participation is open to members of Campus Recreation - valid ID cards must be presented for entrance. Members include full-time students, paid part-time students, paid employee, alumni, & community.
