The Department of Campus Recreation strives to provide quality recreation experiences to the students, faculty, and staff of Clemson University through its programs and facilities. These experiences afford the diverse campus community opportunities to interact while participating in a wide variety of instructional and competitive activities that promote the development of the mind and body.
Home to multiple courts and studio rooms, an indoor track, the McHugh Natatorium, climbing wall, and more. Equipment check outs are available such as basketballs, tennis racquets and medicine balls.
Offers around 50 fitness classes per week, fitness assessments, massage therapy, personal training, swim instruction, as well as fitness equipment orientations to all Fike members. It also utilizes undergraduate and graduate students as interns as well as offers opportunities for employment.
Intramurals is a student led program that provides a recreational outlet for Clemson Students, Faculty, and Staff. Multiple sports are offered throughout each semester with multiple leagues as well as several sport specific tournaments.
Offers 35 different sports teams, ranging from Lacrosse to Sailing. This area emphasizes student leadership and involvement by relying on students to run the teams and clubs.
A newly offered service provides: injury prevention, injury evaluation & diagnosis, emergency care, and injury treatment, rehabilitation, & reconditioning. All services offered are free for students.
As part of the Clemson Outdoor Recreation and Education (CORE) Program many trips and programs are offered throughout the year such as hiking, white water rafting and snowboarding! Outdoor recreation also offers equipment rentals for camping trips or going out on the lake.
Located on the ground level of the Edgar A. Brown Union Center this area has bowling alleys, billiards tables, a lounge area, arcade games and more! Access to and reservations for the Underground Recreation center are available to all Clemson community members.
This campus beach neighboring Lake Hartwell is home to a disc golf course, athletic fields, and picnic tables. It offers recreational grounds for all Clemson community memebers to utilize.
Based in McHugh Natatorium, there are eight 25-yard lap lanes and a 13.5 feet deep dive well available for use and reservation to all fike members. Special Courses such as lifeguarding classes and Tiger Fish Swim school are also offered.
