Atrium Painting

The Main Atrium in Swann Fitness Center will undergo painting and upgrades beginning Thursday, August 3, until Fall Facility hours begin. Painters will be using a water based paint that is not harmful, but may be sensitive to some patrons. Access to areas of the weight equipment may be limited throughout the project according to painting and upgrade needs. This is a tentative schedule for the painting/upgrades and may alter based on project needs.

Light Replacement

We are in the process of replacing light fixtures throughout several parts of the facility over the next few weeks to more efficient LED lights. For most areas, this will begin at 7 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m., Monday–Friday, with portions of the spaces being unavailable for short periods of time.

Dry Sauna & Steam Room Coming Soon!

A new dry sauna and steam room is currently under construction to replace the outdated systems previously located in the locker rooms. Construction will occur on the east end of the lap pool in the McHugh Natatorium underneath the score board and will be completed at the beginning of August.

We have worked closely with the contractor to ensure there will be as little disruption to use of the pool as possible during this process. Contractors will typically be working between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. At this time, we do not anticipate having to close the facility, but should anything arise we will communicate to our patrons through the website and email. In order to provide better access to our swimmers during the construction period, we will be removing starting blocks at the west end of the lap pool for water entry.
