Spend 5 Days in the most distinguished mountain biking area in the country. Spend your nights star gazing under the desert skies. We will be car camping at one of the various BLM campsites just outside of town. We will spend most days riding many of the dozens of trails that surround the Moab area. We will get to ride such classics as the Porcupine Rim and Slickrock trails.
Trip Details
$400 includes transportation (12 passenger van) to Moab, UT., permit and camping fees as well as camping equipment. We will be bringing a trailer, so you are welcome to bring your own biking/camping gear. Bike rentals are extra depending on which bike you want to rent.
To rent a CORE mountain bike for the trip will be an extra $25 for the week.
To rent a higher performance bike from a local bike shop will cost an additional $35-$60 per day depending on the one you choose.
All participants will be responsible for bringing money to purchase groceries in Moab. We will spend many meals cooking at the campsite, but a couple nights will probably be spent at local restaurants.
Much of this trip will be spent mountain biking on challening terrain. Mountain bikers of all skill levels are encouraged to register, but a moderate level of physical fitness is necessary.
Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting
There is a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Wednesday March 7th at the CORE Barn. You must register for the trip prior to this meeting.
Registration
You must register in person at the CORE office located at the Campus Beach and Recreation Area. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space and the remaining balance will be due at the pre-trip meeting the week prior to our trip. Registration is first come first serve and we only have 6 spots for this trip! We accept credit card, check, cash and tiger stripe.
