From the President

I am pleased to present an overview of the Clemson University master brand architecture. This is the culmination of countless hours of work that were aimed at creating and projecting a brand architecture for the University that reflects who we are as an institution and what we aspire to be. This multi-tiered process began with strategic research that led to the creation of the University’s new brand positioning statement. The positioning statement then provided the framework for defining the look, feel, tone and messaging of the Clemson brand. Thanks to the hard work and vision of so many of our colleagues, the new Clemson brand will occupy a distinct and recognizable position in the world of higher education and among our many constituencies in South Carolina and beyond.

This process of implementing and protecting the new Clemson University brand will require diligence on the part of everyone in the Clemson community to properly and consistently represent our University in the finest light. Through repetition and time, your work will ensure that the new Clemson brand architecture will become a success.

This visual identity overview is but one tool to help you achieve our goal of communicating a uniformly accurate vision of Clemson University. Consistent messaging is equally important to building the Clemson brand. As verbal communications tools are developed, they will be shared with you via a more comprehensive brand manual to guide Clemson University’s marketing and communications initiatives.
