Facilitators will receive a stipend at the end of the fall semester in addition to a program t-shirt and items used to promote the TAAP program.  All facilitators will be paired with another student and will co-facilitate approximately 12 90-minute program sessions.  TAAP sessions are dialogue based and facilitator will be trained in program content and group facilitation.  All facilitators will also enroll in TAAP Creative Inquiry Team (HLTH 497-002).

About TAAP

The sessions are 90-minutes in length and delivered by 2 trained peer facilitators.  Participants will learn:

  • risks associated with alcohol consumption
  • state/federal laws and University policies
  • how to recognize high risk contexts at Clemson and lower risks associated with those contexts
  • how student perceptions and expectations can influence behavior around alcohol
  • noticing and responding to high risk situations
  • skills one can utilize to reduce risk should he or she decide to consume alcohol

TAAP sessions include video, group discussion and anonymous polling to keep the program informative and interactive.  TAAP challenges students to look at their own decisions and how they may impact the health and safety of our University including the people around them, those obligated in enforce the law and the effect decisions have on personal goals and aspirations at Clemson and beyond.
