Obtaining a Student Parking Permit

Renewals for 2018-19 parking permits are available now. There are $50 Park-N-Ride permit options for Commuters, so please review them carefully before ordering your permit.  Please remember you are required to verify and link your vehicle to your permit to park on campus. You will need the license plate number, make, model, color and year of your vehicle(s). All students parking a car on campus are REQUIRED to purchase a permit.

  • You must purchase a parking permit online.

  • You can pay for your permit in one of 2 ways:

    • Charge your permit to your fall semester student bill. This payment option is ONLY available until 11:59 pm (EST) on August 22, 2018. This payment option is NOT available for the spring semester. Please select “Student Bill_iROAR” upon check out if you elect to use this option.

    • Use Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.



  • The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) has approved a parking permit fee increase of 10% for all student permits for this upcoming school year.  For updated student parking permit rates, please visit the Permit Rates page.

  • Please note that Fall Semester Permits are ONLY for students who will not be returning in the spring semester (Candidates for Graduation, Internships, Co-ops, etc.). We DO NOT sell Spring Semester permits. If a returning student purchases a Fall Semester Permit then they will be required to purchase an Annual Permit in the spring at the current selling price.

  • If you are a resident student, you will be issued a permit based on your housing assignment for East Resident Lots or West Resident Lots. 

  • Permits will be mailed starting July 16, 2018 to the shipping address that you provide. The only on-campus address accepted as a shipping address is your own student post office address. Permits cannot be held by Parking and Transportation Services for pick-up.

  • All past-due citations must be paid before purchasing a parking permit.

  • Please review the back of your permit for the placement location on your vehicle.  

  • To avoid citations, please review the insert that comes with your permit for the specific parking guidelines.

There are several new programs for students that provide more affordable and convenient transportation choices such as:

Zipcar - Car sharing solution with gas and insurance covered as well as preferred parking spots on campus

Carpooling - Incentives including discounted and convenient parking locations for groups of 2 or more people


Park-N-Ride - Park in P-05 or at the Snow Center (P-06) and ride a shuttle into campus for just $50/year

Notice to Users of Disability Access Parking Permits:

Anyone who displays a state-issued disability parking permit in order to park on the campus of Clemson University is required to register the permit with the Parking Services office prior to use on campus. Students, faculty, staff and vendors are required to purchase and display a campus parking permit, even when displaying a disability access parking permit. The request to register the state-issued permits prior to use is expected to reduce the incident of unauthorized use, thereby increasing access to disability access parking space by legitimate users.
