Multiple Assistant Professor Positions, Computer Science The Division of Computer Science in the School of Computing at Clemson University invites applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. Persons with exceptional qualifications may be considered at a higher rank. We are especially interested in persons specializing in our areas of strength, which include data analytics, network systems, scientific computing, software engineering, and wireless sensor networks. Highly qualified candidates in all computing areas that meet our goals of growing collaborative and multi-disciplinary research will also be considered. Clemson University is entering a period of exciting change and anticipates growing the faculty significantly over the next five years through a series of cluster hires. As part of this initiative, we also seek candidates with demonstrated interests and background for collaborative research in one or more strategic growth areas, including applied ecology, environmental, and geosciences; applications of medicine and health IT; or with industrial partners in South Carolina’s manufacturing industry, including the automotive industry. The School of Computing is located in a new building, has 38 faculty members, about 350 undergraduate majors, and over 200 graduate students. The School offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, a Ph.D. degree in Human Centered Computing, an M.F.A. degree in Digital Production Arts, a B.S. degree in Computer and Information Science, and an interdisciplinary program in Systems Engineering. Assistant Professor, Visualization Clemson University invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Professor in the School of Computing. Persons with exceptional qualifications may be considered at a higher rank. We are especially interested in persons specializing in scientific or data visualization, with a proven interest in working collaboratively with researchers outside of computer science. A Ph.D. in a related field is required, and university teaching experience is desirable. The position will reside in the Division of Visual Computing, which currently has strengths in high performance computer graphics, natural phenomena, physically based rendering and animation, eye tracking, visual perception, and visualization. The Division is designated by NVIDIA as a CUDA Research Center. It also operates a unique Digital Production Arts M.F.A. program, which emphasizes both technical and artistic elements of digital production. DPA alumni populate the computer animation, visual effects, and electronic games industries in all of the top companies. Salary will be competitive and based on experience.
