Marc Bryant, a 2003 DPA Graduate, wins a Visual Effects Society Award

Congratulations to Marc Bryant, a 2003 Digital Production Arts graduate, for winning Visual Effects Society's (VES) "Outstanding FX and Simulation Animation in an
Animated Feature Motion Picture" award for the movie "Frozen", specifially for his work on Elsa's Blizzard. The VES Awards recognizes outstanding visual effects artistry and innovation in film, animation, television, commercials and video games and the VFX supervisors, VFX producers and hands-on-the-keys artists. When Marc was a graduate student in the Digital Production Arts program, his master's thesis was titled "Interpreting Data: From Scientific Visualization to Visual Abstraction".  It found common threads between the process of crystallization in polymers and the abstract expressionism of Wassily Kandinsky.

Marc is currently a FX Animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios in Pasadena, California.
