School of Computing professor receives Extraordinary Educator Award

On April 3, 2011, Professor Steve Stevenson was one of two Clemson professors presented with the Extraordinary Educator Award by the members of Delta Alpha Pi (DAPi) International Honor Society (Nu Chapter).  Delta Alpha Pi is dedicated to assisting students with disabilities achieve their personal goals in academics, develop and recognize leadership, and advocacy skills.

The Extraordinary Educator award was established last year by the members of Delta Alpha Pi to give recognition to instructors who academically and personally made a difference for them and who respected them as individuals. To be a candidate for this award a professor must inspire students, be inclusive, promote ease of access, serve as a resource provider and coordinator, approach life in a proactive manner and, work with students to empower them to be active participants in their education.
