Before you leave for your experience, we require that you fill out documentation based on the courses that you’ll be taking while abroad (certain summer programs do not require this). Once you have decided what courses you wish to take, you must have those courses approved by a department chair, the Undergraduate Studies Associate Dean, or from the Dean’s Office. This will allow for your courses to count as Clemson credit, therefore it is vital that this step is taken.
With our programs as well as independent study, it should be noted that credits from courses do carry over and are entered into your academic record. Grades however, do not. This means that your GPA is not affected with the courses you take abroad.
An equivalent grade of “C” or higher is required in order for your credits to count. Once a final transcript or other official documentation is received by Student Records, in Sikes Hall, your credits will be posted.
