Welcome to the Graduate Program of Environmental Toxicology.

What is an environmental toxicologist?

An environmental toxicologist is a scientist who uses a variety of disciplines, including molecular biology, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, geochemistry, social sciences, computer science, etc. to determine the fate, effects, and risks of toxicants on the environment, wildlife, and human health.

The goals of the Environmental Toxicology Program:

Our mission is to train new environmental toxicologists and address pertinent environmental toxicology questions through education and research in areas such as chemical fate, bioavailability, biological effect, toxicokinetics, and mechanisms of action. A focus on interdisciplinary approaches and sound science is fundamental to our education and research activities.
