The amounts listed below are standard figures used for budgeting purposes and eligibility for need-based financial aid for the academic year. Your actual bill will differ from these estimations - they are provided for planning purposes. Please note that tuition and fees, housing (for on-campus residents) and board (for students with meal plans) are the only costs which are paid directly to Clemson University. Books and supplies, transportation and personal costs will vary for each student and are estimates only.

  1. Assumes medical fee (required for all full-time students) and $400 in lab fees. Graduate fees are based on a weighted average of four tuition teers (not including Automotive Engineering, Historic Preservation and Real Estate Development).
  2. Projected average residence hall costs.
  3. Projected cost of Unlimited Access meal plan.
  4. A commuter is a dependent student, without legal dependents, who lives at home with parents (per HEA of 1986).
  5. Includes an allowance of $1,250 for laptop computer for all entering freshmen.
