The athletic wordmark is used to identify programs associated with the Athletic Department. It is the main identifying mark on signage and stationery. The wordmark consists of the stacked words "Clemson" and "University" separated by a rule (line). The wordmark is set in a customized version of Goudy typeface in all capital letters. The "o" in "Clemson" is replaced by the Tiger Paw. Versions of the athletic wordmark exist to identify specific sports.
Use: The athletic wordmark should be used whenever it is appropriate to visually identify athletic areas or programs of the University. It is not to be used to identify academic units. The athletic wordmark must appear on the front or back of all athletic publications and printed materials, all titles for films, videotapes and slide presentations, all official signage and certain University vehicles. Exceptions must be approved by either the Department of Publications and Promotion or the director of University Trademarks and Licensing. The athletic wordmark also may be used for merchandising or promotional items. Correct use of the wordmark is shown.

Digital files for the wordmarks are available on Share/Share in Media/Graphics/CUGraphics.
