Visual Identity Guidelines
Promotional Materials

The quality of any organization is reflected by the quality of its promotional materials. Each year, the University produces hundreds of publications, advertisements, video presentations and other print or visual items. Each is an "ambassador" of the University. It is important that every one appears to be part of the same family by sharing certain graphic elements in common.

To maintain some uniformity, the University wordmark should appear on the front or back of all publications and printed materials; all titles for films, videotapes and slide presentations; and in all print or television advertising. Authorized marks may be used in place of the wordmark in some circumstances if approved in advance by the Department of Publications and Promotion. Placement of the mark will be dictated by the design.

Typefaces described under "Typography" and guidelines regarding "Colors" are also required.
