Mission & Vision
The S.C. Commission on Higher Education gave preliminary approval to develop Clemson University’s Restoration Institute on July 15, 2004, implemented in September 2004.
Since that time, the Institute has been moving forward to:
Engage the entire University in developing and collaboratively applying knowledge to issues of natural, built and socioeconomic restoration
Increase research and sponsored program funding through efforts related to the Restoration Economy
Interdisciplinary Model to Drive Economic Growth in the Restoration Economy: Our mission and vision statements encapsulate the Institute’s commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, research and service and its desire to accelerate economic development centered on the Restoration Economy.
The mission of the Clemson University Restoration Institute is to advance knowledge in integrative approaches to the restoration and sustainability of historic, ecological, and urban infrastructure resources and drive economic growth.
Building a sustainable future through education, collaborative restoration research, and strategic partnerships.
