Research Activities

Biochemistry and molecular biology of carbon dioxide fixation in bacteria and blue green algae.

Biochemistry and molecular biology of bacterial microcompartments, with emphasis on the bacterial carbon dioxide fixing organelle, the carboxysome.

Following retirement research was continued in collaboration with two former graduate students, Dr. G. C. Cannon and Dr. S. Heinhorst both faculty members at the University of Southern Mississippi.
