New Student Orientation is mandatory for both new freshman and transfer students entering Clemson University. During this time, students can learn more about adjusting to life as a Clemson student as well as sign up for a club specifically for veterans, the Clemson University Student Veterans Association.

Orientation dates for students entering 2015 fall semester are as follows:

Freshman: 8 a.m.

June 15-16, 18-19, 22-23, 25-26, 29-30, July 7-8, 9-10, 13-14, and 16-17

Transfer: 8 a.m.

June 17, 24, July 1, 15

Things to know:

  • Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by academic major.
  • During online registration, all open sessions will appear in the drop-down box as choices.
  • Your session date is not confirmed until you have completed online registration and received the confirmation email.

Veteran and Veteran Benefits Meeting

There will a break-out session during each orientation session check-in for veterans that provides benefit information. This is a meeting for any veterans of the U.S. military or dependents of veterans who will utilize the Post 9/11 (Chapter 33) benefit and other VA benefits. During this meeting, you will learn about special resources for student veterans as well as the steps required to verify your status for VA benefits and financial aid.
