Memes, Mobs, and Marketing: Pop-Up Advertising Agency
Gain experience and portfolio samples showing your understanding of cutting-edge advertising strategies and techniques. This class will transform into an advertising agency for one week, working to create a campaign that combines communication techniques for mass media and new online networks. Teams will learn by doing as they become the players in creating a strategic communication plan, from project briefs and market research to pitches and creative production, with feedback from a real client. But watch out, there could be backlashes and parodies as well! Using the Social Media Listening Center, we will explore how these industries are changing and look to their future.
