The undergraduate student ombudsman is here to listen to your concerns and assist in exploring alternatives to resolve your problems.
Common Concerns
Issues addressed by the ombudsman may include the following:
- Academic advising and grade appeals
- Financial aid and tuition reimbursement
- Registration concerns
- Fines and refunds
- Housing or roommate problems
- Discrimination or harassment
Talk it Out
The ombudsman works for a fair solution. She is an independent, confidential and impartial person who provides assistance with complaints and conflicts when the usual procedures have not worked to your satisfaction.
The Clemson undergraduate student ombudsman follows the Ombudsman Association Code of Ethics, which is based on "off-the-record" communication, informality, and neutral insight and support. The ombudsman avoids testifying in formal judicial or administrative hearings.
