Study Abroad

Application Process

All Clemson University students who are planning on studying abroad must complete an application through the Office of International Affairs. Once you've selected a program, you'll need to start working on your application and other important pre-departure steps.

  • For a general introduction on how study abroad works at Clemson, view our Study Abroad 101 presentation.
  • If you haven't already, you should talk with your academic advisor about how study abroad fits into your plan of study.
  • Make an appointment with our office to complete the application process or to discuss your options. We are located in E-307 Martin Hall and our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Application Deadlines:

March 1 for Summer/Fall semester programs
October 1 for Spring semester programs

In all instances, applications are accepted after the deadline as spaces remain. Some programs may have later (or earlier) dates.  It is your responsibility to check with the program in which you want to participate to make sure you are meeting all applicable deadlines.

Space may be limited on exchange programs, so it is important to turn in application materials as early as possible.
