Welcome to Clemson University, one of America’s top public universities.

Clemson is big-time in every way but size. We’re a major research institution with outstanding faculty members and graduate programs. Clemson is ranked at #22 among national public universities by US News & World Report, recognized as a best-value by Kiplinger's, and noted by The Princeton Review for excellent career services and quality of life.  Within the past three years, a new chapter of Phi Beta Kappa began here, and 20 Clemson students have won national academic awards and scholarships, including 10 Fulbright & Goldwater Scholarships, and 10 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships. 

I’m proud to be Clemson’s 14th president, but I’m just as proud to be an alumnus. Our founder, Thomas Green Clemson, envisioned a “high seminary of learning” where intellectual, physical and economic development would go hand in hand. More than 120 years and 140,000 graduates later, his vision is reality.
