41 For
ryegrass and crimson clover mixtures, make 3 equal nitrogen applications. In
early fall, apply no more than 60 lbs nitrogen per acre. In the spring, a third
nitrogen application will increase total yield and length of grazing period when
ryegrass is present. When arrow leaf clover or hairy vetch is seeded with small
grain, apply all of the nitrogen (60-100 lbs nitrogen per acre) at planting.
