54  For grass-legume mixtures where the legume is less than one-third of the ground cover, broadcast 60 lbs nitrogen per acre in late August and again in the spring if additional
production is needed.  If legumes represent one-third or more of the ground cover, do not apply nitrogen.  Stocking rate should be adequate to use forage as it is produced on
grass-legume pastures.
