28  This is a boron sensitive crop.  Apply 0.5 lbs boron per acre in fertilizer.  (Recommended when soil test boron is less than 3.0 lbs per acre)

151  Cowpea strains of Rhizobium are effective inocula for southern peas.  Use a commercial peat-based inoculum specified for cowpeas.  When inoculated at planting, the
recommended nitrogen rate is not required.  High rates of nitrogen will depress nitrogen fixation.

158  Broadcast 15 lbs nitrogen per acre and the recommended phosphate and potash fertilizer and work into the soil prior to planting.

652  The soil test manganese is low, however, this is not a manganese sensitive crop, therefore no manganese is recommended.  (When soil test manganese is low)
