163  Broadcast 50 lbs nitrogen per acre and all of the recommended phosphate and one-third of the potash and work into the soil prior to planting.  Apply 160 lbs nitrogen per acre and
the remaining two-thirds of the potash through the irrigation system.

241  This is a boron sensitive crop.  Apply with the broadcast fertilizer 1 to 2 lbs boron per acre.  (When soil test boron is not excessive)

652  The soil test manganese is low, however, this is not a manganese sensitive crop, therefore no manganese is recommended.  (When soil test manganese is low)
