Other Scholarships and Sources of Funding Available to AVS Students

Carolina Feed Industry Scholarships - Two @ $500
These renewable scholarships are awarded to students in AVS with 60% of the budget for scholarships and the remainder for grants in aid or special projects.

SC Farm Bureau Scholarships - each county

Southern States Cooperative Annual Scholarship - Two @ $800
Awarded to an agriculture major who participates in activities to include but not limited to 4-H and FFA. Donor prefers students with family farms.

Thomas Benton Young, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Fund for CAFLS students from Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter and Williamsburg Counties.

H. E. McCracken Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to sophomores, juniors, seniors in CAFLS who are residents of the Bluffton area.

R. Ed Pittman Annual Agricultural Scholarship
Awarded to an entering Freshman in an agriculture program. Must be a SC resident from a designated rural area as defined by the FHA.

Bob Ballentine Memorial Agricultural Scholarship - Two @ $1,000
Awarded to students in Agricultural Sciences with leadership in FFA and other activities.
