Every day, this non-profit organization feeds over 650 elderly and disabled right here in our community by delivering hot meals to recipients homes. HOWEVER, with bad, icy weather on its way, MOW needs shelf-stable meals for all recipients to have on hand in case volunteer drivers can?t deliver hot meals. These shelf-stable meals make sure no one goes hungry!
The shelf-stable meals consist of a 1-gallon Ziploc bag with:
1 can of soup (not condensed)
1 juice box (anything but grapefruit)
1 granola/nutrigrain bar
1 box of raisins
1 fruit cup
crackers
BSGSA will have a large box in the coffee room next to Long 132 for you to put your Ziploc bags containing the above items. These meals will be delivered to the Anderson County Meals on Wheels center in Anderson at the beginning of December.
THANK YOU!!
