Danielle Zoellner Danielle Zoellner Danielle is interested in terrestrial and wetland plant community ecology, the ecology of invasive plant species, and the effect of natural and human disturbances on plant community composition.
Ph.D. Student
dzoelln@clemson.edu

Carrie Woods Carrie Woods Carrie is interested in the diversity and distribution of tropical canopy epiphytes.
Ph.D. Student
clw@g.clemson.edu

Ben Taylor Ben Taylor Ben studies plant-animal interactions and is currently researching how proximity to agriculture affects the role of agoutis in the process of seed dispersal in Dominica.
M.S. Student

Vince James Vince James

Vince is interested in invasibility of reservoir islands. He studies plant-herbivore interactions and the effect these interactions have on Gelsemium sempervirens and
Lonicera japonica.

Honorary Members

Kalan Ickes Kalan Ickes Kalan's research focus is on forest community dynamics on the tropical island of Dominica, specifically addressing how forest diversity and stand structure (1) influence the population dynamics and distribution of two endemic, endangered parrot species and (2) are affected by hurricanes.
Research Assistant Professor
kickes@clemson.edu

Adam Martin Adam Martin Adam is a PhD student at the University of Toronto, Canada currently working in Dominica.  His primary research examines age-related changes in light requirements and physiology of tropical tree species.
Ph. D. Student

Lab Alumni

Rachel Glenn Rachel Glenn Rachel graduated with departmental and university
honors in May 2009. For her thesis, she studied the distribution and population genetics of Japanese honeysuckle in forest fragments of reservoir islands. She is currently studying bats in the Savannah River Ecological Laboratory.

Isaac Park Isaac Park Isaac finished his M.S. degree in Plant and Environmental Sciences in May 2009. Isaac studied the potential for introduced-range expansion of Chinese tallow tree (Triadica sebifera) in the southeastern United States. He is starting a Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in August 2009.
