Client-Based Writing Program Wins University Award

The Advanced Writing Client-Based Program is the winner of the first Clemson University Collaborative Award for Unitary Service and Engagement (CAUSE) Award.  The CAUSE award is given in recognition of contributions to the greater Clemson community and/or South Carolina through the use of service-learning and community-based research as part of the Clemson educational experience. 

The award is presented to a department, unit or group of faculty that has created an outstanding program or initiative that  (1) has a positive impact on the greater community; (2) improves and enhances the student educational experience;  (3) promotes collaborative scholarship; and (4) can serve as a model for other programs on campus. 

The award includes a $10,000 grant to support the program.
