George Wesley Burnett holds joint appointments in the Department of History and Geography and the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. An expert in biological conservation, planning and park management, and third world parks, he teaches Introduction to Geography as well as other courses. Dr. Burnett is the author of several articles and essays that, like his teaching duties, touch on issues common to both PRTM and geography. In 2001, he was honored with a prestigious fellowship from the Royal Geographical Society. Selected
